Domino Effects of Doing Good (God is Moving Hearts)

The food distribution ministry of CLTM (ACM) in Nigeria provides food for widows and orphans during the critical months of July and August when there is food scarcity in Nigeria. Most families would have expended whatever they stored from the December harvest from the previous year, and the new crops (primarily corn) have not ripened yet. During this time, most widows would borrow grain from hoarders and local businessmen who demand four or five times the amount in repayment during the harvest season. This practice keeps the cycle of poverty among the poor, especially, widows. CLTM/ACM has a goal to not just buy grains in season to store and distribute, but also to help widows by giving them loans in December in the form of purchasing their grains, store them, and sell them in July and return the profits to the widows. That will help them not just have food in July/August but will also help them buy fertilizer for their farms.

If you would like to partner with ACM in this venture by buying grains for storage, please let us know by email or phone call (see contact below) and we promise to provide accurate account of the use of any funds we receive. Here is a report from one such event.

CLTM Annual Distribution of grains to widows and orphans in Billiri. Eight (8) bags of maize (corn) and 3 bags of rice were given out to over 70 widows and orphans in Billiri. The total cost was $500US received from a donor. We give glory to God. All donations to ACM are tax-exempt. Some pictures from the annual distribution of grains for this year that took place on the 27/07/2021 are shown below.

Below is a powerful testimony from our recent food distribution ministry:

“We’re glad to inform you that one of the leaders of CLTM saw what happened at the grains distribution last Tuesday and was moved to donate N6,000 to the ministry. This is the spirit with which we operate in CLTM. Members serve and also contribute to the ministry instead of expecting from the ministry. This is what differentiates ministry from government, today’s church, or other NGOs. People think about serving others first before thinking of what they will get for themselves (Philippians 2:3-4). May God bless our brother and his family”.
